Upgraded my render farm. I'm now running: 1 - Dell PowerEdge 2950 Gen III (2 Intel Xeon Quad Core Processors, 16GB RAM, 8 core total) 1 - Dell PowerEdge 1950 Gen III (2 Intel Xeon Quad Core Processors, 16GB RAM, 8 cores total) 1 - Dell PowerEdge 1950 Gen III (2 Intel Xeon Quad Core Processors, 16GB RAM, 8 cores total) 1 - HP ProLiant DL785 G5 (8 AMD Quad Core processors, 64GB RAM, 32 total cores) With a total of 56 cores this has REALLY sped up my render times. I create in DAZ Studio using a MacBook Pro with a quad core i7, send the render to Luxrender via either Luxus or Reality, then add the network IPs of the servers in the farm. For

Just picked up a Dell PowerEdge 2950 server off eBay. Dual Quad Core 2.66 Xeons, 14gb of memory. Installed Windows Server 2012 on it and am using it to start a small in-house render farm using Luxrender. I've decreased my render times dramatically. My last render took almost 2 hours where they normally ran from 4 to 14 hours depending on the render. Gonna grab 2 more of these servers to add to the farm as well as replace an aging media hosting server. Can't beat the price on these right now!

I just started rendering with DAZ3D a couple of weeks ago. My renders show that but I wanted to post them as I progress. Right now I'm experimenting with different lighting, film settings, etc. Renders are running approx. 4 hours for me right now since I'm doing this on a 2010 Macbook Pro. Comments are welcomed, I'm here to learn!
